From 17th April to the 30th April, Magic Breakfast will be celebrating our favourite meal of the day, and we’d love it if you could join us. The Great Big Breakfast is an opportunity to get together with friends, family, colleagues, or classmates and enjoy a special breakfast, on one of the above days, whilst raising awareness of child morning hunger. As the cost of living continues to rise, new statistics on hunger and food insecurity are becoming increasingly alarming. The latest Food Insecurity Tracker from the Food Foundation has found that 4 million children in the UK are now living in households without adequate access to food – more than double the number from January 2022. The cost of breakfast o 28p provides 1 breakfast o £10 could provide 2 months’ worth of breakfast for one child o £25 could feed a whole classroom for 3 school days o £55 could provide one child with one year’s worth of nutritious school breakfasts o £100 could give 357 children the fuel they need to learn
