20 years ago, our founder, Carmel McConnell MBE, started taking breakfast food to five primary schools in Hackney, East London with the aim of alleviating child morning hunger. Fast forward two decades and Magic Breakfast now operates in over 1,000 schools, and offers a healthy, nutritious breakfast to around 170,000 children each morning, fuelling their learning and ensuring they are able to make the most of their education. Sadly though, before the COVID-19 pandemic, as many as 1.7 million children in the UK were at risk of hunger, and this figure is likely to have increased since. So, as we mark 20 years, our mission, to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good, has never been more important and your support more vital.

Over the month of August, and in line with the Olympics and Paralympics, we are hosting our first ever Great Summer Games!
To get involved and to help raise awareness of Magic Breakfast, all you need to do is come up with a sporting challenge based on the number 20 and complete it during the month of August encouraging friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you along the way.
